SUBTEL Resolution 737 establishes new mandatory requirements for the commercialization of short-range devices in Chile. All devices must comply with this regulation starting February 2026.
This resolution, issued by the Undersecretary of Telecommunications (SUBTEL), regulates the importation, distribution and commercialization of radio frequency equipment in Chile.

Under the new Resolution 737 (effective February 2026), most short-range devices (WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, RFID) no longer require formal SUBTEL certification. You only need a QR code with technical documentation on your packaging.
Exception: Only medical equipment (sections g and h) still requires SUBTEL certification.
