What is Resolution 737?

SUBTEL Resolution 737 requires all short-range devices (WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, RFID) sold in Chile to include a QR code on their packaging linking to a page with technical documentation. This regulation is already in effect.

How long does the process take?

Generally 2 to 4 weeks from receiving complete documentation. With 21 years of experience, we expedite the process as much as possible.

What documents do I need?

The main requirement is your Test Reports: radio frequency (RF) and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) test reports for your device. We take care of preparing the rest of the required documentation.

What equipment needs to comply?

All short-range devices operating with radio frequency: WiFi routers, Bluetooth devices, Zigbee equipment, RFID readers, IoT devices, and any equipment transmitting radio signals in Chile.

What happens if I don't comply?

Equipment without a QR code cannot operate or be displayed for sale in Chile. SUBTEL can enforce at any time, and non-compliance results in fines and sales prohibition.

Do I need a representative in Chile?

Yes, it's mandatory to have a representative with legal domicile in Chile. If you don't have local presence, we can act as your representative.

Under Resolution 737 (in effect since February 2026), most short-range devices (WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, RFID) only need a QR code with technical documentation on the packaging. Only medical devices (sections g and h) require formal certification.
