- Do a MacBook and a Windows notebook need separate QRs?
- Yes. Each model with different radio hardware needs its own compliance page and QR. A MacBook Air M3 and a Lenovo ThinkPad are completely different models with distinct radio modules, so each requires its own QR.
- Where does the SUBTEL QR go on a notebook?
- The QR must be placed on the notebook's retail packaging. It can be on the outer box, on a sticker on the packaging, or in documentation included inside the box, as long as it is visible and scannable.
- Does a Chromebook also require a SUBTEL QR?
- Yes. Chromebooks integrate WiFi and Bluetooth just like any other notebook, so they are subject to the same Resolution 737 requirements. The operating system does not affect the compliance obligation, which is based on radio hardware.
